The Rainbow School

A Cohort of Support
For Young People Finding Their Way

Creating & claiming our place in the world.

Celebrating our uniqueness.

Rising into our purpose.

with Caitlin Quinn

When young people feel rooted in their autonomy, they become emboldened to grow into their true selves. It is essential to create communities where young ones are honored in their complexities, seen for their unique brilliance, supported in their passions, and catalyzed in their purpose. These spaces sustain young people in the present and ensure they are well-resourced for the future.

It is a deeply challenging time to be on the cusp of adulthood.

We need dynamic, devoted learning spaces where young people have room to make meaning of the world, make mistakes, and take accountability; spaces where they can cultivate hope, nurture curiosity, and grow their trust in themselves and their future.

Communities of practice where learning can be student-led, out-of-the-box, rooted in the real world, and deeply resonant.

We welcome you into this vibrant community of peers: a space for binary benders, inquisitive souls, and folks who don’t quite fit the mold — learning cohorts for young people ready to explore and express, and be seen in their full creative expression.

The Rainbow School - Guide + Mentor Caitlin Quinn

Caitlin Pearl O’Quinn (they/them) is a certified Health, Drama, and Art Teacher with a deep passion for educating and empowering young people with a creative, thoughtful, and engaging curriculum. With a background in theatre, design, and creative play, Caitlin guides young people to re.imagine worlds and gain confidence in their capacity to communicate and collaborate in the community. Caitlin taught in the Portland Public school district from 2009-2021 and received their Master's in Teaching from Pacific University. Caitlin is certified to teach pre-K through eighth grade in all subjects and is specifically endorsed in art, theater, and health.

Caitlin is a queer, white mama & partner, descending from a creative clowning family, who feels most at home immersed in the Salish Sea. A life-long learner, Caitlin is a student of the both/and. They are a culture changer, custom maker, and paradigm shifter — just as happy digging for treasures at the Goodwill bins, leading a young cast through an original play, and hosting magical creative gatherings at their backyard maker space. Caitlin believes that creative collaborative communities are one of the most powerful ways to inspire personal evolution and collective revolution.

What people are saying about The Rainbow School

“Caitlin exudes curiosity, creativity, and intentional growth. Their work places value on the natural world, color, art, sharing truth with others, and the pleasure and joy we can find in our bodies.” - C. Sanneman

“Caitlin has a unique one of a kind super power. They are able to not only tackle the intricate elements of a project - like a build, gathering, performance- but also add extra magic, a magic that you can’t get anywhere else. A magic that is rooted in tradition, joy, reverence, support, community and curiosity. No matter what the project is I want to be a part of it because that magic that they have is so inviting, inclusive and thrilling.” - C. Cohen
